Psychomotricity

The psychomotor therapist intervenes in the field of health, education
and research. In conjunction with other professionals, it contributes to
overall development of the person through prevention, cares, the
therapy.

It implements an observation methodology and carries out assessments
for assessing psychomotor dynamics. It ensures support
individual and/or collective responsibility in the field of support for psychomotor development, maintaining health and well-being.
It works with people of all ages presenting, or not
encore, learning difficulties, carrier of disabilities, of the
psychosocial difficulties, physical or mental health.

The psychomotor therapist promotes the integration of motor functions,
microkiné at the Center Nestia in Auderghem, cognitive and symbolic of the person. He considers the
corps, and more particularly the tonic and bodily action,
as the foundation of psychic construction. From his
bodily engagement and tonic-emotional dialogue with its
patient, he uses, through technical and relational skills,
to build with him bodily experiences which allow him
to establish or restore the link between the body and the psychic.

Its tools include psycho-corporeal techniques, of the
relaxation techniques, bodily mediations, expressiveness
postural and gestural, body play, etc. Its specificities are
notably the tonic-emotional dialogue, the relationship, the process of
symbolization.
