Neuropsychologie

Neuropsychology is the branch of psychology concerned with the interactions between psychology and neurology.

The neuropsychologist links cognitive functioning with observed behavior.
Firstly, it assesses cognitive functions such as intellectual abilities, attentional, language, memory, executive, visuo-spatial and praxic.

A deficit in these cognitive functions can be the cause of learning difficulties. Indeed, these functions are involved in many school learning in children and adolescents.

In a second time, if necessary, the neuropsychologist for children and adolescents sets up exercises and compensatory strategies targeting the difficulties encountered as well as classroom and home arrangements specific to the needs of each child or adolescent.
